The Gran Teatre del Liceu opened in 1847. On January 31, 1994, the building was destroyed by fire. Now rebuilt, the Liceu is used for classic plays and other kinds of performances.

Bus: the buses nr. 14 & 59 go down Las Ramblas and stop just in front of the Theatre.
