Live and Laughing was his first DVD recorded live, and it was one of the fastest selling stand-up comedy DVDs ever. On the BBC, he has presented his Live at the Apollo routine, and he has also presented his routines on BBC Radio. He received a Chortle Award for best headliner in 2008 (he had been nominated in 2007 as well) and the British Comedy Award for best stand-up in 2009.

British Dance Troupe Diversity is well known for beating Susan Boyle in the final of the third season of Britain's Got Talent, where Piers Morgan, one of the judges, described their choreography as the best he had ever seen. The group was formed in 2006 by several friends from London and Essex, and is led by Ashley Banjo, an actor and dancer who is in charge of the choreography. There are three groups of siblings and four friends among the members of this troupe. 

After winning the contest, Diversity became sponsors of Dance Aid, a charity organization in the United Kingdom dedicated to helping children in need.
