The first modern Indianapolis Motorcycling Grand Prix was held exactly 99 years after the historical Indianapolis Race in 1909. The track currently spans 2,3 sq km; motorcycling races in particular see the southwest turn replaced, resulting in a 4,218 km circuit.
The Indianapolis Moto GP receives tons of motorcycling fans yearly, given that Indianapolis is the biggest sports facility in the world, able to hold up to 257000 people. The only downside of this great track is the hurricane season, which has at times affected the race schedule.
