The Cagliari Calcio is an Italian football club founded on August 20th, 1920, which plays in the Italian A Series. The team achieved its first promotion to the A Series in 1964, and although halfway through the championship it had only 9 points, it managed to recover and finished in sixth place with 34 points.

During the 68/69 season, Cagliari fought to the end for the Scudetto (Little Shield) with AC Milan and Fiorentina, who won the title, leaving Cagliari as runners-up with 41 points. Lugi Riva, one of its famous players, won the trophy for top scorer.

Many of those Cagliari players were summoned to compete in the 1970 World Cup, in which Italy reached the final. The team's nickname is Rossoblu (Red-blue) and its stadium is the Sant'Elia in Cagliari. Buy your tickets now!
