The Montmelo F1 Grand Prix is coming & Fernando Alonso gears up to seize the pole position.
Fernando Alonso has become one of the most feared F1 pilots throughout his career, as well as an idol for many motor fans. The Asturian pilot has led the World F1 results for several seasons, and he yearly posits himself as a serious contender for the championship title.
The demand for the F1 Grand Prix at Montmeló, Barcelona just keeps on rising, since fans from around the world come to Barcelona to take in a weekend of the best F1 racing. They join the local Alonso die-hards who never miss their yearly spring date at the Circuit de Catalunya racing circuit.
Strangely enough, Alonso did not manage to reach the top of the Montmelo podium until 2006. He was the first Spanish pilot to prevail in Circuit de Catalunya. Nevertheless, the Oviedo-born pilot still has some records to conquer, such as the lap record currently held by Kimi Räikkönen, which he achieved on the same year.
Clearly, all motor fans who buy F1 tickets are in for a spectacular treat in the Spanish Grand Prix.
