The FC Barcelona basketball team was created in 1926 and it is the oldest basketball team in the Spanish Basketball League. It is the second most succesful team in Spain, just after Real Madrid. In Fc Barcelona played and growned up many famous basketball players such as Pau Gasol, Juan Carlos Navarro or Juan Antonio San Epifanio (aka "Epi").

The Real Madrid Basketball team was created in 1932. Togeteher with Joventut Badalona and Estudiantes, Madrid is the only Basketball club in Spain that have been always in the first Basketball category. As successful as the football club, the basketball team has been the most successful of its peers in both Spain and Europe.

Club Baloncesto Estudiantes is one of the most succesful basketballs clubs in Spain. They play in the Madrid Arena in Madrid. The club was founded in 1948 when a group of students registered they basketball club at the Basketball Spanish Federation.
