Milan AC

Milan AC, along with Juventus is one of the biggest teams in Italy. ´´Los Rossonero´´ are one of the European teams with the most continental titles. Founded in 1899, they play at the San Siro stadium, one of the most beautiful stadiums in Europe with a capacity of 80,000 spectators.

Inter Milan

AS Roma were born in 1927 and soon turned into the most popular team in the Italian capital. The Italian League winners play in the Olympic Stadium of Rome, one of the biggest in the country with a capacity of 80,000 spectators.

AC Fiorentina

ACF Florentina was founded in 1926. The viola team is one of the most popular in Italy and they have more than one ´´Scudetto´´ behind them. The Artemio Franchi Stadium is where they call home.

Udinese Calcio

The Italian football club Udinese Calcio comes from the city of Udine, 20 km south from the border with Slovenia. Founded in 1896 as a part of the Udinese Association of Gimnastics and Fencing, the team plays in Serie A and in its ranks it has had two world champion players with the Italian National team: Franco Causio (1982) and Vicenzo Laquinta (2006).

They won one Anglo Italian Cup in 1978, one Mitropa Cup in 1980 and one Intertoto Cup in 2000. They play at the Friuli Stadium in Udine inaugurated in 1976.

SS Lazio

SS Lazio is the oldest club in Rome, founded in 1900, their colour is sky-blue and they share the Olympic Stadium of Rome which has a capacity of 80,000 spectators with AS Roma.

Napoli

The Napoli Sports Club Association lives in the city of Naples in the Campana Region of Italy. Diego Armando Maradona, who become one of the best soccer players ever, came to Napoli in the 80's, and he managed to score a fabulous amount of 114 goals for the team; his lifetime score for the team is followed closely by Attila Sallustro, "Il Divino," a Paraguayan nationalized as Italian who scored 107 career goals with Napoli, Italian Antonio Vojak with 103 and the Brazilian Careca with 95 goals.

The San Paolo stadium, where the team play, is the third largest in Italy in terms of capacity. Although Naples fans don't have an official anthem, they celebrate their victories with a popular Neapolitan song: “O surdato 'nnamurato" (The Soldier in Love). Buy Napoli tickets now!

Genoa

The Genoa Cricket and Football club is an Italian football club based in the city of Genoa, which was founded on September 7th, 1893 by representatives of the important British Colony in Genoa, an industrial city which has one of the most important ports of the Mediterranean Sea. They play in the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.

Its founder was a former goalkeeper of the Sunderland, Dr. James Richardson Spensley. Another important character was William Garbutt, coach of the Rossoblu team for many years. Is because of him that in Italy they call the coach Sir out of respect.

US Palermo

The Sports Union City of Palermo team comes from the capital of the autonomous region of Sicily, Italy. The Eagles play in the Italian Serie A, the highest level of Italian football.

Their stadium is the Renzo Barbera (Formerly known as La Favorita, or the favourite) which has a capacity of over 36,000 spectators. The team has been a runner-up for the cup of Italy several times. The players are not only Italian, but also Argentinian, Brazilian, Slovenian and Uruguayan, among many other nationalities famous for their football playing skills.

All of them stand out in their pink and black (Rosanero) uniform. Their best season was in 1961-1962, and more recently the club had one of its best unbeaten periods under the tutelage of Delio Rossi. Cagliari FC

The Cagliari Calcio is an Italian football club founded on August 20th, 1920, which plays in the Italian A Series. The team achieved its first promotion to the A Series in 1964, and although halfway through the championship it had only 9 points, it managed to recover and finished in sixth place with 34 points.

During the 68/69 season, Cagliari fought to the end for the Scudetto (Little Shield) with AC Milan and Fiorentina, who won the title, leaving Cagliari as runners-up with 41 points. Lugi Riva, one of its famous players, won the trophy for top scorer.

Many of those Cagliari players were summoned to compete in the 1970 World Cup, in which Italy reached the final. The team's nickname is Rossoblu (Red-blue) and its stadium is the Sant'Elia in Cagliari. Buy your tickets now!

US Lecce

Giallorossi and Salentini are two of the nicknames for the football team Unione Sportiva Lecce, an Italian team from the town of Lecce in the Alpulia (southern Florence). They play in the Serie A of Italian football with a colorful uniform consisting of a yellow and red shirt, blue shorts and red socks.

US Lecce's anthem, called Giallurussu (Yellow-red), is performed by Sud Sound System and has beautiful lyrics that say, among other things: Giallurussu is the color of the sun, of the heart, one is fire, the other love.

One of their goalkeepers, Emmerich Tarabocchia, holds the Italian record of unbeaten games, an amazing 1791 without conceding a goal. Their greatest win in a series was when they beat Atalanta 5-1 in 1993. Buy US Lecce tickets now.

Catania

Catania is the largest city of Sicily, Italy, and its football club, the Catania, has played in the Serie A since the 2005-2006 season.

Catania FC plays in the Angelo Massimino Stadium (named after a former president of the club) with a capacity for over 23,000 spectators. The official uniform of the Sicilians or Etna (Because of the famous volcano on the island) has blue and red vertical stripes, red for the volcano and blue for the sky.

In the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, just down the Po River Valley in northern Italy, we find the home of the Bologna Football Team. It was founded in October 1909 under the initiative of Emilio Arnstein with the help of young people of his time; among these youngsters was Antonio Bernabeu, brother of Santiago, the legendary president of Real Madrid.

Bologna plays in the Italian A League (Serie A) and had its golden age in the 30's, when it won several Scudetti (little shields) and two Mitropa Cups. Now a days they play at the stadium Renato Dall'Ara, whose first stone was laid by King Victor Emmanuel III.

Parma FC

The year 1990 saw the debut of the AC Parma football club in the Serie A of Italy. This team has won two UEFA Cups, one UEFA Club Winners', one Italian Supercoppa, one European SuperCup, and three Italian Cups, even though before 1990 they did not win any trophy at all.

In its early years it was called Verdi Football Club in honor of Giuseppe Verdi, the great musician born in Le Roncole, which was then part of the Duchy of Parma. Two of the players featured in AC Parma have been Antonio Benarrivo, for his 258 appearances in the A Series, and Hernan Crespo for his total score of 69 goals.

Cesena

The city of Cesena in the province of Forti-Cesena, Italy, is home of the Associazione Calcio Cesena Football Club, which was founded on April 21st , 1940 by Count Rognani, a Law student at the University of Modena, Arnaldo Pantani, a former football player, and Renato Piraccini, the owner of a leather store.

1960 was the first year in which the team arrived to the A Series. During the 1975-76 season, they managed to finish the championship in sixth position, which allowed them to play the UEFA Cup the next season. The team earned their second promotion to Serie A in 1981, and returned during the 2009-2010 season together with Lecce.
