The Leeds Festival first took place in 1999 in the English town of Leeds, more specifically in Bramham Park. From the very beginning it has brought together artists of different genres and successfully managed to mix these diverse types of music in one event, with these styles ranging from rock to indie, punk and metal. This variety of music has been possible due to the festival having multiple stages which allow several of these different-genre acts to be performed at the same time. This year, the Leeds Festival will take place from the 28th to the 30th of August. This edition will see performances by internationally-recognised bands such as Metallica, Mumford & Sons, Deadmau5, Manchester Orchestra, Chase & Status, Pierce the Veil, Jamie T, Refused, Bastille and Royal Blood.
