The rumours about the U2 European tour next summer are growing stronger every day. The band will be probably playing in more than fifteen cities.
You heard it well: It seems there will be an U2 European Tour next summer. Rumours seem to be true!
It's hard to believe that Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr could once have been gangly teenagers with no musical education whatsoever, but indeed they were: the four met in school and would never have imagined the band they formed could become the stellar U2. After the release of U2's latest album No Line On The Horizon they started on the massive 360º World Tour, a truly outstanding show that is still doing the rounds across the 5 continents. The famous Irish band U2 plans to release its 13th studio album, the continuation of the album No Line on the Horizon. Several titles are considered and leaked, and it could be entitled Songs of Ascent. The bassist of the group, Adam Clayton said in an interview that the sound would be close to the U2 of early times but with the maturity of all the years that passed. Everything’s been told about the career of a band turned into a real myth. Their joining together to release an album or going on tour always becomes a real event.
U2's last tours have revolutionized the concept of stage performance, as in their 360º Tour where they made the biggest musical stage in the modern pop history. The band has shown that it is possible to continue innovating and surprising. You can be sure that on their next tour they will do it again. The exact itinerary and U2 European tour dates are yet to be confirmed by the band. We will keep you updated according the Official U2.com site.
Later update: Interscope Records, U2's record label, have stated in early March that a tour initially scheduled to have a mid-March announcement and to start in September 2014, will now begin in the summer of 2015.
Spain Ticket Bureau will provide the U2 European tour tickets as soon as the global tour is officially confirmed!
