The Paris Opera is one of the oldest opera institutions in Europe. It was founded in 1669 by Louis XIV as the Académie d’Opéra, and every year about 380 ballet and opera shows, as well as other concerts are showcased there. Its first director was Pierre Perrin, and its most recent one is Nicolas Joel, who took over in 2009. The Opera has an impressive permanent staff, which includes a 170-member orchestra, a 110-person chorus, and the 150-dancer company. Don’t miss the opportunity to see live one of the best opera and ballet companies on stage. Buy here your Paris Opera tickets.
