Rayo Vallecano

Rayo Vallecano was first known as the Sports Association Rayo (which means bolt in Spanish), all the way back in 1924. In honour of Vallecas, a neighborhood Southeast of Madrid, the team added the name of Vallecano in 1947. It reached first division of Spain's La Liga in the 1976/77 season and earned the press nickname The Giant Killer. In the following seasons, the team continued to fall and rise in the division, with 2001-2002 having been its best season in history. Two midfielders of the Rayo Vallecano have been part of the Spanish National team: Antonio Núñez and Luis Guzmán Cembranos. The squad are playing their home matches on the Estadio de Vallecas stadium, with a capacity of over 15,000 viewers. Ticket Bureau, as official ticket agent for Rayo Vallecano, offers you official tickets for all their Spanish League matches, so you don't miss any game of this Madrid-based team.
